Propeller is a nonprofit organization that helps entrepreneurs grow their nonprofits and small businesses to tackle social and environmental disparities in New Orleans.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is an investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services. To qualify, the business must have been in operation for at least two years, must generate annual sales or revenues above $150,000 in the most recent fiscal year, and have at least four employees.

The Albert Lepage Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Freeman School of Business brings together scholars, inventors, investors and students to solve problems and build businesses. Programs and resources are geared toward the entire Tulane community include the student venture incubator for venture development, Innovators-in-Residence for mentorship, pitch competitions, networking events with entrepreneurs and investors, and more. The Lepage Center extends Tulane's entrepreneurial mission into the Greater New Orleans and Gulf South regions. Through our extensive network, we facilitate connections between local entrepreneurs and accomplished advisors to receive expertise in launching, operating, and expanding ventures. The Lepage Center also produces the Greater New Orleans Startup Report, a comprehensive benchmarking of the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Beach at UNO is the only research park in the Greater New Orleans area. The IDEAcorps MBA Consulting Challenge, hosted by Loyola University New Orleans CECD and in partnership with The Idea Village, gives MBA students the opportunity to work with a real startup to solve a problem the founding entrepreneur is facing. Teams work intensively over four days to scope the problem, validate a solution, and give the entrepreneur a plan that can have real-world results and impact.
