About the Founder

Svetri Wilson began building her first company, Solid Ground Innovations (SGI), to encompass all areas of service that charitable organizations and individuals seeking to do incredible deeds of kindness would need. As demand increased, SGI expanded to expertise in branding, PR, and digital marketing, eventually landing a multimillion-dollar government contract. Within its first few years, at only 22 years old, she had bootstrapped SGI to a 7-figure company. She then went on to eventually transform SGI’s nonprofit service into a technology platform, birthing her second company, Resilia. Resilia was named to Venture Beat’s Top Startups to Watch Out For in 2019. As of 2020, she has raised over $11M for Resilia and is humbly known as the first Black founder in New Orleans to close a 7-figure round of funding.

Why New Orleans?

I am heavily involved in the community and serve on the board of directors for UNCF-NOLA, Downtown Development District, YWCA, LSU AP Tureaud Black Alumni, and an active member of New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, New Orleans Black Chamber of Commerce and Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. Additionally, Deputy Mayor Judy Reese Morse selected me to serve on the City’s Equity in Business Community Roundtable, a partnership with WKKF Kellogg, to advance diversity and equity work throughout the city.
