New Orleans health care startup gets Ochsner, state investment as federal funds start to flow

July 25, 2024 — A New Orleans-based startup company specializing in health care house calls will get $500,000 from Ochsner Health’s latest venture fund and Louisiana Economic Development, the state economic development agency, the two organizations said Wednesday.

The new investment for Nest Health, co-founded by former Louisiana Health Secretary Rebekah Gee three years ago, is part of an extended “seed round” of funding that has raised $5.5 million for the fast-growing company, Ochsner said.
