February 12, 2026 — The National WWII Museum in downtown New Orleans has plenty of historic weapons on display, including pistols, rifles and even a bazooka or two.
In an office building just across Camp Street from the museum’s campus, casual observers would be forgiven for thinking they’d found another stockpile, including what appear to be several M4 carbine assault rifles and a fearsome-looking, tripod-mounted machine gun.
