July 16, 2025 – Covington-based Globalstar is partnering with the U.S. Army on research that could position the upstart satellite company to play a larger role in the nation’s nearly $1 trillion defense industry.
In an announcement Tuesday, Globalstar said the Army will research the ability of its satellites to support covert surveillance, drone operations, location targeting, logistics tracking and other missions.
